FAQ
What is DAH Tint?
DAH Tint means Do-At-Home Tint. I provide high-quality pre-cut tint kits designed to fit your exact vehicle. My mission is to make DIY tinting easier, more affordable, and more professional-looking.
What kind of tint is it?
We use carbon window film — the professional choice that balances performance and price. It keeps a clean, neutral grey tone (never purple) and delivers serious protection:
- UV Ray Rejection: 99% (hard to beat — shields both you and your interior)
- Infrared Heat Rejection: 34% (helps keep your cabin cooler)
How it compares:
- Carbon film (what we use): Neutral grey color that looks factory, strong UV/heat performance, no fading — perfect for DIY at a fair price.
- Dyed film: The cheap stuff from Amazon or AutoZone. It’s already got a purple hue, looks cheap, and barely blocks heat.
- Ceramic film: Adds some extra infrared rejection on top of carbon, but when you’re already blocking 99% of UV, it’s hard to notice the difference. It also costs 2–3× more, which doesn’t make sense for most DIY installs.
Is this tint legal in my state?
Check out our Tint Law Page to get an idea of what’s legal where you live. (Always confirm with local regulations before installation.)
How do I clean tinted windows?
Use non-ammonia based window cleaners along with a silicone squeegee or microfiber towel. This prevents damage to the film and keeps your tint looking fresh.
What if my kit arrives damaged?
If your tint arrives damaged, you must contact us within 1 day of delivery. Send a picture of the damage — the protective plastic must still be in place for replacement eligibility.
What is your return policy?
Due to our referral program, we cannot accept returns that fall outside the outlined criteria. This helps prevent abuse and ensures fairness to all customers.
Can I exchange my kit if I ordered the wrong vehicle or shade?
If you ordered for the wrong vehicle, we’ll replace it for free one time. Customer must cover return shipping, and the protective plastic cannot be peeled. Unfortunately, wrong tint shade orders cannot be returned or exchanged.
